Popular Nepali Blog Closed for Child Pornography

Update: The site is running now.

MeroSansar, a popular blog and the world’s first blog in Nepali language, has been suspended by its hosts – blogsome.com for child pornography.

Blogger Umesh Shrestha yesterday published a password protected blog which included images of two children involving in various sexual activities on the roof of a house and a story.

I retrieved password through auto-reply email and read the post which I think used some words that should not have appeared in such a popular blog. About photos, I thought for a long minutes to decide on and went to sleep without thinking more.

Such activities happen and it would have been better if he hadn’t publish such things because people tend to be more severe on child pornography (and actually, it also was against terms of services of blogsome).

I hope Umesh will comeback with another blog or maybe with the same. I will write an email to the site admin (with whom I have exchanged some emails about putting Nepali language option). I wrote to the blogsome, and I don’t know its because of me or not, but the site is now back.
